caution  Snellville Tourism and Trade suspends the majority of events through October 2020.  Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and rise in hospitalizations, we feel it is important to keep the health and safety of our citizens and visitors first and foremost. We feel that we cannot properly social distance at our concerts and larger events and are taking the advice of Gwinnett Newton Rockdale Health Department doctors who suggest not to have large gatherings of people, which can spread the virus, even outdoors.

The following events will be canceled until 2021:  Snellville Concert Series (Aug. 22, Sept. 26 and Oct. 10), Star-Spangled Labor Day (Sept. 5), Taste of Snellville (Sept. 12), Fall Festival (Oct. 24).  Remember to wash your hands, social distance, and wear a mask to protect yourself and others.

Snellville Tourism & Trade encourages residents to stay safe and informed during this time regarding the Corona Virus. For more information and updates on the virus please refer here Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, City of Snellville website, Barbara Bender - Mayor of Snellville, Dave Emanuel - Mayor Pro Tem of Snellville, Eastside Hospital, Gwinnett, Newton & Rockdale County Health Departments.

Star-Spangled Snellville

Star Spangled Snellville - July 4th from 4 - 10 PM

FIREWORKS SHOW when the sky gets dark, approximately 9:30 PM

Join us as Snellville Tourism and Trade Association presents an unforgettable Fourth of July experience in the heart of Snellville on the Towne Green as we celebrate our 10th year of having events in the city.

Star Spangled Snellville begins at 4:00 PM as Kriss Johnson, Miss 2018 National Patriot will kick off the celebration singing our National Anthem from the main stage on the Towne Green. Family friendly entertainment, including the tastes and smells of some of your favorite festival foods along with a large playground of inflatables, the BIG KAHUNA water slide, train rides, bungee jump, and 9-hole mini golf will be available throughout the day.

Ride as often as you like with an all-day band for only $10.00.

Food Vendors

We will have a wide variety of food vendors on site to satisfy any appetite. Food vendors include Rey’s Cuban Café, Fratelli’s, Brown’s BBQ, Beren’s Frozen Custard, Chick-fil-A, Ski Bob Sno Cones, Exotic Que, Texas Roadhouse, Kona Ice and many others. Stop by for some of the favorite festival foods like hot boiled peanuts, grilled corn on the cob, freshly squeezed lemonade, funnel cakes, and your favorite flavored shaved ice.

We are excited to feature two bands that will ROCK the Towne Green throughout the day. CONTAGIOUS Band will take the stage at 4:45 p.m. followed by DEPARTURE-A Journey Tribute Band at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks display will begin when the sky becomes dark, approximately 9:30 PM, and will be accented with patriotic music.

Come in your best red, white and blue, and bring your blankets and chairs to assure your seats for the music and fireworks show. Get to the Green early as space on the Green and surrounding areas fill up quickly.

STAT would like to thank Snellville First Baptist Church for its continued support and sharing their property to stage the fireworks. Due to construction this year, there will be no inflatables or food vendors on the First Baptist side of the road, but you still may bring chairs or blankets to sit on the property. All food vendors will be set up on Oak Rd. in front of Snellville City Hall.

We also want to thank Snellville United Methodist Church for allowing residents to park in their parking lot during the July 4th festivities. Our partnership within the city is what makes Snellville such a great place to live.

The Community Blood Bank will be on site July 4th for those of you who would like to give a pint of blood. The Community Blood Bank services those in need in our local area.

Don’t forget to get your face painted at this celebration and stop by the STAT info tent for a Star Spangled tattoo.

A big thank you to all of our volunteers, police department and public works department who help make our events so successful.

Many thanks to our 2019 Star Spangled Snellville sponsors who make these large events possible (list on right).
